"Never been seen!"
"Never been heard!"
"The boy who can blow bubbles!"
I was used to hearing these things. I was a side show now and my love for anything really had gone out a window. I found this picture in my pants drawer yesterday. It shows me on the first day I found out about my power.
I was like any normal teenage boy. Going to high school, flirting with the ladies and wearing my signature man bun. We found this garden one time. It was beautiful... to an older/trained eye. Our group passed it up. We weren't looking for some scenery. But later that week everyone (except me) skipped school. I had nothing to do at lunch so I decided to go look at that garden again. Now don't tell anyone... but I'm quite the artistic buff. I love to draw. That was the fist time I saw beauty in nature. It truly inspired me.
Anyway I sat down at began to think about my soul. The very being of it. Nah not really. I was thinking about who I would take to Prom. Got ya there for a second right?
All of a sudden I felt something in my chest. I opened my mouth to burp and... a bubble came out! I know right?! Crazy. I watched in wonder as the bubbles kept coming out of my mouth. I wasn't afraid. I was fascinated. The bubbles circled me and I reached out to touch one.
Later that night I got this picture. I don't know who took it but I was took absorbed with my bubble pals to even see someone taking my picture.
So long story short my buddies found out about my bubble power. They turned on me and started to call me "bubble boy." I was reported to some big boy circus people. Later they trapped me in a cage and called me their best attraction.
That's where I am right now writing this. Not in my cage... they gave me an upgrade. But I was filled with despair until I found this picture again. It reminds me of the wonder I felt. The pure joy I felt. I am bubble boy. I will gain back my freedom and feel the wonder of the world once again.
